Habitat for Humanity Greater Raleigh is excited to announce a generous $125,000 donation from 4Others Foundation to support more families in building safe, affordable places to call home. As part of this gift, the foundation has designated $25,000 as a matching challenge, meaning every new gift, increased gift or reinstated gift from a lapsed donor made by September 30 will be matched dollar for dollar until the full match is met.
This matching opportunity gives our community the chance to make an even greater impact for families in Wake, Johnston and Franklin counties. Every dollar donated will help Habitat partner with future homeowners as they complete financial education, contribute sweat equity hours and purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage.
"Our faith calls us to love our neighbors through action, and Habitat's approach to affordable homeownership is a powerful example of putting that faith into practice,” said Jill Swisher, Grants Director at 4Others Foundation. “Families work alongside volunteers, complete sweat equity and make a long-term commitment to purchasing their home. That's a model we believe in, and we're grateful to help amplify its impact through this gift. We hope our support encourages others to give, knowing their generosity will go even further."
If you've been considering making your first gift, increasing your annual support or renewing your commitment to Habitat, now is the perfect time. Together, we can maximize this matching gift and continue building homes, communities and hope.
