Welcome to Old Poole Place
Construction on our Old Poole Place neighborhood kicked off in March of 2023 as our largest community to date built from raw land. Now, thanks to the support of our many dedicated volunteers and donors, the neighborhood is nearing its final phases of construction. The 114-home neighborhood sits near the intersection of Old Poole Road and New Hope Road in Southeast Raleigh and features 60 single-family homes and 54 townhomes
As of Summer 2026, 80 homes have been completed (55 single-family & 25 townhomes). The neighborhood is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

Prioritizing Community
Because of rising land prices and the lack of affordable housing in Southeast Raleigh, the neighborhood prioritized a mix of single-family and multi-family options for homebuyers to choose. When acquiring the land, we looked at access to public transit, proximity to schools, availability of shopping centers, etc.
In addition, Habitat Greater Raleigh’s advocacy team worked to add access to the GoRaleigh transit center on Bus Way and public sidewalks on the main road at the entrance to Old Poole Place. Nearby amenities include groceries (1.2 miles away) and parks (.9 miles away).
